A leading manufacturer of rolled, forged and machined products, Ramkrishna Forgings Limited (RKFL), has secured a significant order worth around INR 2.7 billion for the prestigious Vande Bharat train set project. After winning an order of ₹270-crore from BHEL-TRSL consortium, Ramkrishna Forgings rose by 5%. Order for Vande Bharat Trains Worth Rs 270 Crore
The scope of this project includes the creation and authentication of bogie frames specifically created for sleeper version of Vande Bharat train set. The bogie frames are vital components of the undercarriage that holds wheels and axles thereby providing structural support for the entire carriage. In line with the agreement, RKFL will manufacture and supply 32 sets of bogies for Vande Bharat train. This is equivalent to production of 1,024 bogies demonstrating RKFL’s potential in addressing large scale as well as highly sophisticated manufacturing activities with little or no errors. This win by RKFL is a major boost to “Make in India” campaign.
